Hi Turkeylover, a bit of confusion - hopefully some of our contacts from across the water will help you out - Case White is a different colour (more magnolia) than DB white but this is on the Case tractors that were built in America only (ie US Case). The DB tractors, later Case DB and up to the fin...

Hi filthyliam (I`ll not ask where the username comes from!!). Contact the club if you need to re-register it - its a lot easier than doing it yourself - the current contact is Peter Murray. The current rule are prior to Jan 1975 its Historic Tax class - therefore FOC. After that if its a tractor I`d...

Dan, I`ve used K seal before - its good stuff, it fixed a liner seal leak on my cropmaster and used it for rad leaks etc. Only other stuff that may be worth a try is Steel Seal - never used it myself but a mate of mine put some in a car with a cracked cylinder head (2.0 TDI VW - its a common fault o...

Hi, in theory it should have a brass plate on the dash like this one - without this its almost impossible to date - the engine numbers tended to run in approximate order to the chassis no`s but that assumes it has the original engine in it. Its had a Cropmaster Diesel badge on the bonnet at some tim...

Daniel,

when you say she`ll only start from warm with cold start - is the starter turning slowly/very slowly or is she spinning over quickly/normally but not wanting to fire????

Hi, oh heck the re-registering minefield!!. First thing to do is check if the tractor is registered at DVLA with the reg no on the seat - you can ring them or try this link here https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax. If it is still at DVLA records then you can send off for a new V5 from DVLA with a c...

Hi Dan, had same problem on a Cropmaster Diesel that had new rings fitted - was a pig to start but once started ran fine after 5 mins - gave her some hammer rolling a field and she was fine then - as db2d says they need some work to bed the rings in and get the compression right. Cheers Andy

Never thought Tom but a great colour combination for an Implematic with a New Holland Baler on the back :D .

Mind you those old International B46`s weren't a bad match either (oh no now I`ve done it mentioning a B46!! :) )

Happy New Year to all by the way.

Regards

This is the `best` vertical picture I can come up with from Stuarts book but it is on a VAK1 - I think they had the same battery carrier as the VAK1A and C but perhaps Cliff may know better than me??? They are more of a squareish type with rounded ends - not obviously oblong. I will say one thing he...

Well know I know where to get my dovetailed battery boxes from in the future!!. Do not think (unless someone knows otherwise) that the bakerlike ones (or repro`s) are available - one for a VAK1 appeared on e-bay a while ago and made crazy money but I`ve never seen one Barry - suspect most went britt...

Hi Jamba, when you say `project` what do you mean!!. If that tractor was in the UK in that original untouched condition if you went anywhere near it restoring it would immediately de-value it. Whatever tomwill offers I`ll beat him by 10 Australian dollars!!. A lovely tractor - leave as she is and us...
