Thanks. I'm beginning to think that I'm going to have to do a complete overhaul of the fuel system. I can't see any leaks in the system, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's not sucking air somewhere. I just put in new & clean diesel fuel and new filters today, and I had cleaned the sediment ...

99o stalling during use

My 1971 DB990 has begun stalling after lengthy use. At first I thought it might be water or dirt in the fuel, but after changing all of the filters and putting in new, clean diesel fuel, I suspect that it is an air leak in the system. Any ideas as to how to track down this problem?

Thanks.

Hydraulic Pump Capacity on 1971 DB990

Hi Guys!! It's been awhile since I've posted here, and I have a question regarding the capacity of the hydraulic pump on my 1971 DB990 Selectamatic. I'm planning on building a 3 point log splitter to put on the tractor, and I need to know the gallons per minute that the pump will put out. The book I...

Thanks Scooby:
How long would it take to get the parts to the US?
Also, how does one "join" the club?

Shipping parts to the United States

Being that I haven't done this before, I'm not sure how to proceed with a purchase from the DBTC store. Is there anything special that I would need to do in order to purchase parts and have them sent to me in the United States, or would it all be taken care of during the checkout process? Any info w...

Clutch Repaired

Hi Everyone: Just a note to let those who were interested know that I got the two-stage clutch repaired on my 1971 DB 990. The clutch was completely rusted together so badly that the repairman had to literally, beat it apart with a small sledge hammer to loosen things up. He put in a new clutch, bea...

PTO Clutch

I have more time now, so.......... a little update on the 3 point hitch and PTO Clutch. I got the hitch repaired at a local shop. The problem was that the valve that was installed by a Case/DB dealer a year ago, was missing a few parts!!!! Unfortunately, the place closed up, so there's no way to go ...

PTO Clutch

Okay....... I got the 3 point hitch fixed on my DB 990, and now I've found out that the PTO clutch won't disengage. After inspection the repairman says that it's either rusted stuck or it's completely worn down. He wants $1800.00 to replace it. How much trouble is it to replace it myself? I have the...

RE: 990 selectamatic live drive clutch

Johnh:
I have the same problem with my 990. Exactly how did you do the adjusting, and where is that plastic cover you mentioned?

Thanks.

DB 990A Selectamatic 3 point hitch problem

My problem is with my DB 990A. I had the 3 point hitch valves replaced a few years ago to correct the hitch not working at all. Well, I think the mechanic either put the new valves in wrong or, at least, didn't calibrate them correctly. In order to make it lift anything of substantial weight, I have...
