I have seen the same kit on ebay for about th...

Re: DB885 Thermostart

Id say faulty switch,
if the thermo start is wired in from the 3rd key position, then it can only be getting live when in that position. So must be faulty.
take the dash of and take a look at the back of the switch and trace the wire from the thermostart to see where it goes on the switch.

Re: 885 Cold Start Wing Nut

Battery condition / charging of battery can be an issue we found. Our 885 struggled to start, switched to an alternator as the dyno wasnt wired in right anyway and re-wiring it all, after that it turns over alot better. So deffo check the battery condition. Also had to re do our earth points as thes...

Re: 885 fuel sende - Smiths tbs55147 / 007

I was tempted to do it myself re wrapping the wire but to get the part of that its wrapped around requires me drilling the tiny rivets out then re fixing?
Plus im not a huge fan of DIY electrics sitting in a fuel tank....

Re: 885 fuel sende - Smiths tbs55147 / 007

Hi,

i called them earlier and the advised to order new ones they need a minimum order of 6
a repair would be in the region of £65 plus vat plus carrage.

I was advised aston martin may have the part, id rather get new than spend 80quid on a repair. But if needs must.

885 fuel sende - Smiths tbs55147 / 007

Does anyone have one?
i cant seen to source one anywhere. Ive tried using a replacement part but thats not working.
I opened up the origional one and the wire on the coil has snapped so thats my problem. Not something i can repair unfortunatly.
