RE: 1979 DB 995 HYDRAULIC ISSUES

Thank you erkki, But before I do anything a couple + more questions. My tractor has 3 blocks stacked on the rear axle. I assume the first one is a spacer/diverter, the middle one is for the rear remotes and the top one is for the FEL. 1- Is there anything (like springs, o-rings etc) between the bloc...

RE: 1979 DB 995 HYDRAULIC ISSUES

Thank you JamesF and ollek for all the info. If I have a broken pipe will I be able to repair it in tractor or will I have to remove it? I think removal will be a huge task, am I correct? Could you explain in brief the process to remove pipe. Is there anything else I should be aware of or do while i...

RE: 1979 DB 995 HYDRAULIC ISSUES

I have installed a new filter and screen and all new fluid in system. another symptom it has is on start up the lift arms rise no matter what position of quadrant lever, they will drop very slowly under my weight (200 lbs) and w...

1979 DB 995 HYDRAULIC ISSUES

Lets start with loader, raises at about 1/2 speed, lowers fairly quickly but will not raise front of tractor off ground. Bucket curl is very slow too. Where should I start? Help please.

Thanks

Thanks for your help Ollek. Took grill off and found tank for fluid up high and out of sight, put in about 1 quart or so and started tractor up and all works as it should.I assume the PO did not know it was there either. Again, thank you.

RE: PAS

Thanks Ollek but that is not the pump I have. I will do more research on what I do have. You may be right n saying it may be a US only fitted pump. How can I find out how to post photos?

PAS

Thanks, that pump looks like the one on my 995 with hydrostatic steering. It is larger body pump and close configuration to my 990. There is no valve under the steering column. the 2 hard lines appear to go from pump to steering ram. The third line looks like garden hose an i'm unsure where it goes ...

PAS

Thanks Ollek; the link 990477 has the same ram but a different pump. My pump has 3 lines from it and the tank is part of the pump. It is gear driven. Is there any way to test pump? the year of my tractor is 1974.

thanks again

990 Power assisted steering

Hi all, new to group and have 990 with non-working PAS. No oil leaks in lines or on steering ram. So can this pump be rebuilt? I've read they cannot. Where can I get new parts or kits if available? Any help appreciated. Will try to post pictures of system but i'm not real savy at this. :?: Sorry, wo...
