I was wondering about the weigths. Are they original DB equipment? They do have a K number (K306858) but i cannot find them in the Case IH partstore.

The domes in the rearwheel center are indeed for preventing crop entanglement. I have already removed them, weird looking things.

@ Jazo: Both the toy and tractor. No special plans with this one, just for fun, maybe tractor pulling, or just driving around the place. Anoying the neighbours.. :D

It seems to me that there is more than one problem. When only the first planetery unit leaks, it is not possible to engage 2nd speed. The leakeage prevents the first unit to go from reduction to 'prise direct'. When selecting 3th speed, the first unit goes back into reduction and the second unit goe...

16.9-38 has a rolling circumference of 5024mm. 14.9-24 has 3707mm This gives a ratio of 5024/3707 = 1.3553 20.8-38 has a circumference of 5480mm. The needed circumference for the front tires is 5480/1.3553 = 4043mm the nearest tyre size will be 14.9-28 (4033mm). If you want to keep your current fron...

I thought the 1200's had the old DC-generator (dynamo) with DC voltage regulator instead of the later alternator. The procedure Ollek describes with the light is ment for alternators to magnetize the coil in a alternator. Once the alternator starts to deliver power, it magnetize it's own coil. There...

That's correct, therefore I used old scrap manifolds, had plenty kicking around.

PR, we've been down that road before, remember? This one puzzles me. I've rebuild several 14-engines, even with used oilpumps and bearingshells. Never had real trouble with oilpressure, even with temperature rising. When the pump, journals and bearingshells are within specs, it must be an oil leakage. Long shot: maybe cracked oiltube between pump...

Maybe a stupid question, but maybe the rod and bearing caps are mixed up? Each rod has its unique number stamped on the side, that must match the number on the cap. And the stamped numbers on the rod and cap must be on the same side.
