Re: david brown 785

I think the 785 was made for the German market, more or less an 885, not sure if it had the shorter stroke engine like the 770

Re: Help if possible please.

I have to say Scooby that we had a 996 with the narrow door Q cab and a 995 with the wide door Q cab and that silly sliding window rear panel, to be honest the 996 was my favorite tractor we had even though it was the most troublesome, build quality fell apart during the mid 1970's and never recovere...

Re: Help if possible please.

we had a 996 with Q cab and loader it had 5 bolt's each side, 2 near the cab 2 near the front and 1 at the very front that also went through the rad guard. Re: 1967 990 engine block

Re: Compression test

although this will probably not help but I tested the compression on my 1200 a couple of week's back with a set I bought from a tool stall at a show, just a universal kit and in the kit had an adapter that was a direct fit, I paid £30 for the kit (new). I have seen the same kit on ebay for about the...

Re: Confused by warning lights.

I have seen this before on a 990, It turned out that someone had put a brake light switch on instead of a oil pressure switch, new switch soon sorted it

Re: DB885 Starting Difficulties
