The draw bar is removable. It's not the drawbar has so much has I can't get the hitch to drop down , the two hooks underneath won't budge.
I've lifted with a jack so they're not holding any weight I think it's just siezed, like I said in another post I'm going to get some hitch rods if I can free it.

Yes I've seen them with both.
But mine just has conventional drawbar on a pickup hitch frame, I would upload a pic but haven't been able to make data small enough yet to upload, thanks

No can't release hooks when lifted with jack
I've only had the tractor a couple of weeks and I don't know if the puh as ever been used. It has straight drawbar on it rather than a hook.

Thanks, I've been using a jack because I don't have any hitch rods fitted was going to order some from barcley Williams when I get it free.

Pick up hitch

Does anyone have any ideas on releasing the pick up hitch on a 1290, it's seized solid the cab lever is ok but the other end won't budge. Tried heat and wd40 but no luck yet. Can I give it some hammer or will i break something,, Cheers John

Good afternoon, does anyone have any ideas on freeing a seized pick up hitch. Got the tractor last week and have not been able to release it yet. The lever in the cab is ok but the latch and hooks at the bottom just won't move. I don't want to give it too much Welly in case I break something, just m...

Turns out that it's a 1290.
I bought it and been using last weekend every thing seems fine, but I could do with getting some pickup hitch lift rods does anyone know where I could get some . Thanks John
