Re: 1394 loader

although I cannot say for certain the brackets would definitely fit, it may be some help to hear that I recently bought Tanco loader brackets from a red db 990 to fit my white chocolate 996 to allow me to use the Tanco loader on the tractor, all the bolt holes lined up and I had no issues.

Re: 25p front loader

I think due to the lower hydraulic pressures the rams have to be bigger, the rams on my 2 are larger in diameter than the ones on my other tractors, i've been told this is due to the lower pressure of the oil needing to have a larger diameter to exert effort on to give the same force as the smaller ...

Re: 25p front loader

as db2d said, these loaders are hard to come by, it took me an age to find my 2, one is so bad it will need extensive work to even think about using again. it may be worth you considering an entirely different DB tractor if you want a loader tractor.

Re: David brown 25p dimensions

if it is any help, I moved years ago 2 Cropmasters when I bought them from where they were located to my shed on a standard 3.5ton minidigger trailer, the wheels being set on the tractor at what I would call standard operating width, so if owner doesn't want to measure then maybe he will confirm if ...

Re: Pulling without a Drawbar

excellent looking piece of kit you made there, I think a lot of those should have been fitted as standard by DB, it would have saved the nose cones on thousands of tractors. :D :D

Re: Wheels for 996

they look very similar to ford rims, 4610 etc, if its any help Leyland rims are a reasonable fit on a DB, I also use Massey combine rims on both my Leyland and my 996 to give a nice wide footprint on wet ground so maybe some other makes to consider?

Re: Cropmaster or not ?

I believe that early 30 series tractors were still fitted with the double seat and 2 pedals on RH side arrangement in similarity with the Cropmaster (from memory, their introduction in april 1953) they also had the tank scuttle and wide mudguards and that the single pedal each side with a single sea...

Re: Cropmaster brakes

Yes, had a feeling it may not have been on a flat floor, I was lucky with mine and had it in a workshop on a concrete floor, if borrowing the trucker from across the road then I have no doubts they will be manageable, the reduction units assembly is no heavier than a lorry wheel, and I imagine he fi...

Re: Cropmaster brakes

Have to cover the safety side before someone shoots the post down, they are heavy and should be handled by at least 2 people or an engine crane..... However I have done both my Cropmaster brakes on my own, they are heavy but I managed them okay, if doing it yourself, on reassembly be very careful yo...

Re: Help Please Cropmaster info

back in the old days I moved my Dexta around on a 10x 6 Ifor Williams minidigger trailer, wheels outside, so deck was low, that's gone now and what I now have is a 10 x 6ish flatbed trailer, think model is lm106? wheels underneath, either way the Cropmaster fits both, however you may find a 12ft tra...

Re: Road Regulations

something to look into perhaps is if your vehicle has a dynamo, not an alternator, fitted, is the strobe type beacon as it will use far less power than the rotating bulb type in many cases and wont strain the dynamo possibly as much. also many strobe or led type lights are smaller in size and theref...
