Re: 94' series 4wd components the same?

Hi you could run it as a 2wd with 4wd front end better ride, steering and loader work, ran my 1690t that way when it tock spline off front diff, would only make a difference in extream conditions or hill work never got stuck. Would like to do this on my 1494 2wd would improve it for loader work ect .

Re: 1690 T

Went direct to tractor data.com and there is a test on the 1690 4wd non turbo max pull 10536lbs -- 4779kg so turbo tractor would be more than that but wasnt tested ?

Re: 1690 T

Hi ollek you are correct most of the US ones were not turbo so 1690t and 1694t were probably not tested there, in a 1985 Power Farming Annual it states for 2wd 1494 max pull at 4.1 km of 37kN and 2wd 1594 of 39.08 kN at 4.33 km which seems unusual small difference between 4 and 6 cylinders.Would hav...

Re: 995 valves

Replace the valves,Do Not Use old ones some engines had a habit of the heads of valves breaking off, not just the ones with rotating caps, had a 1200 do it and got away with 2 new pistons but the 1494 put the valve through the head 2 pistons and cylinder head later, replacement valves never gave any...

Re: Source for 1490 Radiator

Hi a 1494 radiator is the same and a bit later, you may be lucky and get a good one from wrecking yards But it may need tanks off and cleaning and general condition is everything and cost, will the yard stand behind it for leaks ect.

Re: 950 oil filter housing

Hi cobbadog i havnt got any apart at the moment but noticed the bolt spacing and mounting on the engine blocks appear similar so wondered if anyone had fitted the 950 housing on earlier block, as you say gasket and oil holes would tell if it would work. cheers Geoff

950 oil filter housing

Hi the bolt pattern where the 950 oil filter housing bolts to the engine block looks the same as the Cropmaster pattern, will the 950 housing and filter bolt up to the earlier Cropmaster block and has anyone done this.

Re: 90 series with bale wappers

Hi used my 1394 on a 654 New Holland some years ago and worked alright, was usually using a 1494 at the time and now use the 1690t for baling. There was little difference between the 1394 and the 1494 as the 1494 is without its turbo .

Re: Beware 1412 exhaust on ebay

Hi if you make a hole in the plate in muffler make one in the center then use a pointed bar --crow bar to enlarge the hole to full size there should be no restriction on a turbo muffler straight through full size, bump the muffler and pointed bar on a block of wood should go through with a bit of ef...

Re: DB 1200

Hi is fuel coming out if you loosen injector pipes, if the stop on injection pump doesnt work it can indicate the rack in the pump is sticking or stuck, this also affects the supply of fuel to the injectors, take the side cover off and see what is going on-- throttle movement --stop--and extra fuel ...

Timing Gears

I was recently asked if they are available for a 995 but i have never done any since my 1200 many years ago when such parts were available and would think scrap motors would be the main source in our part of the world. Appears to be one of the few parts not available after market that one cannot get...
