Re: Db 1210 air locking

Most likely the lift pump could need a kit or replacing, the washer under the bowl on the pump gets hard with age and will not re seat if disturbed and valves worn. Yes 36mm is correct for pushrod, if replacing the pump use the same thickness gasket as old pump, new pumps sometimes come with a thin ...

Re: 995 diesel leak

Sometimes the olives dont seat on the pipe enough by tightening to the pump which is soft metal, try tightening into a suitable steel or brass connection before fitting to pump to get olive a tight fit, or carefully solder olive to pipe -do not get solder on sealing face of olive, or wrap plastic th...

Re: David Brown 1200 Rope Seal Rear Crank

Some good vidios on line search -installing rope seals in engine-, on other engines i have done i used something to seat the seal the same diameter as the crank then trimmed the ends and fitted with sealer. Re: 990 PTO shaft

Hi Joshua the output pto shaft runs on 2 taper roller bearings with shims to ajust movement, it appears the shaft has come out so a taper bearing must have failed, have a look on Case IH Parts on line for details. cheers Geoff

Fan Bearing

The fan and belt idler bearings on 1690-94 are they available or does someone have a bearing cross reference for them, they seem similar to water pump bearings without the shaft on one end, would like to have a spare if ever needed, has anyone replaced one thanks.

Re: AD3/55 880 Selectamatic new rings?

Any chamfer on the outside of top rings will cause blow by, only chamfer on top rings should be on the inside to put pressure on the ring to seal against the bore, look it up this is correct, carefully remove the ridge, hone the whole cylinder, fit piston and new rings this is the correct way all eng...

Re: Selene axle for 1200 1210

Hi some thoughts on the gear and axel, it is possible to make gears from blanks teeth hobbed and hardened and axels made up from similar size piece of axel from something else and splined to suit, this is often done to car axels. Also would the remaining company of DB Gears --incorperated with anothe...
