Re: DB 1190 - Hydraulic Oil Filler/Ram Seals

Oil filler plug is at the rear of the tractor, just to the right of the middle part there is a round plug with a squarish hole in it. Oil goes in there.

Re: David Brown 2012

Here's one but I don't think its a 2012, perhaps the person who renovated it has put it down for the year that he carried out the work. Looks like a 1490 or 1690.

RE: Cardan / Clutch Shaft

There was a question on this before but I can't find the post with a search, from memory the trick was to put weight onto the end where you need to hit it with the hammer and at the same time rotate the shaft. Perhaps someone else knows where the post might be.

RE: PAS

To resize your photos open them in a program called Paint, it's on most Windows computers. Then resize till you find a size the site will accept.
Hope it helps

RE: 1194 David Brown

The 1190 was a David Brown badged tractor built from 79 to 83 I believe, the 1194 was a Case tractor built from 83 to 88. and then discontinued, I don't think any were 4wd

RE: Starting problem. Help

I had a similar problem on an MF digger, which I thought was starter solenoid, took that off and cleaned it all up, still the same, took the starter apart and gave it a good clean right through, now like new. :D

RE: Help with starter motor part

Thanks, mines not a copper strip, it's a cable with eye like connectors each end. I'll try my local car place.

Whining steering on an 1190

Hi all,
When steering my 1190 there is a whining noise. When it is not being turned it is quiet but as soon as I start to turn, steering is smooth both ways .
Thanks for any comments

RE: Clutch master cylinder.

Yes she is an 83, fat fingers and small keyboard don't mix. Thanks for all the replies, just waiting for the repair kit to come in hopefully the bores in the cylinder are good.

Clutch master cylinder.

Hi folks I need to take out and repair my clutch master cylinder, I've tried searching but that feature doesn't seen to work for me. Basically from which side do I attack this job, either in cab behind the panels under the steering or have I to become a contortionist and try to get it from somewhere...
