Re: 1394 mwd shift cable

Thx Jazzo. Your idea spurred my imagination and I ended up getting a rather nice cable from our local napa auto parts. A new cable from case was $175 us if I remember correctly, so my heavy duty cable i got from napa was $30 us. ends were fine, but i had to make a bracket for each end which worked o...

Re: 1394 3 point problem

Assuming that there is no major leaks in the Selectamatic valve chest, I would recommend you to measure the pump pressure (both pumps separately). Do the test with both cold and warm (hot) oil. A weaker 3-point hitch when the oil is getting warmer is because of a pressure drop and this suggests the...

Re: 1394 3 point problem

mine has I believe 2 stacks of controls, 3 levers. one for the 3 point lift, two for the loader. Hoses come right out of those stackable hyd units to the back to a quick release. The knob under the seat for adjusting the amount of fluid i suspect for the 3 point or to the front end loader.

Re: 1394 3 point problem

Ahhh, that makes perfect sense Ollek. Checked on one today and it was $33.00 us. Aint cheap for a washer with a hole in it, but it sounds like I got to have it. Ill report back once it comes in and I get it installed. Iam confident now that is what it is. I really appreciate your help.

Have the 3-point hitch been working as it should before? Have you had the by-pass valve out and made the small hole in the restrictor plate bigger or have you left the brass plug in the valve loose?

Hi all. Well the big beast has got an issue with the 3 point raising on its own. Too start with I noticed the handle raising also with my 3 point after giving it a little fuel. So after reading a little on the forum, I also discovered my nut was loose as have others. ( #27 in parts listing ) http://...

hmmm interesting. was just curious. seems like the majority of our tractors over here are made in china for the time being. hoping that changes under the new administration.

Thinking of buying a 1594 was looking for advice

Hey guys, was thinking of maybe buying this old tractor. Dont know if it could be fixed fairly cheaply or maybe just pull the cab off of it for our 1394 if it would fit and sell the rest for parts? ad link below.
