Re: Front End Loader - Support Stand used when removing.
Thanks all for the comments. David, hello, yes well thanks, rural isolation has it's advantages at times like this. Re your sketch, that's nearly exactly how I did it the last time the loader was removed but that was in a barn with a low roof and a convenient RSJ to hang the hoist from (great minds ...

Re: Front End Loader - Support Stand used when removing.
Here’s one that you could adapt to yours https://www.reddit.com/r/Welding/comments/66mraq/front_end_loader_stand_my_first_project_2x2x12/ Click on the picture to enlarge Thanks, I did see that one. It would work but was hoping to get a good picture of an actual DB one if I was going to start fabric...

Re: Front End Loader - Support Stand used when removing.
You will find som, pictures if you Google "front loader support stand". I did try that but nothing came up - much to my frustration! The only thing I came across is something from the actual DB loader brochure (of which I have a copy) but the photo isn't good enough to see details to copy one. If yo...

Front End Loader - Support Stand used when removing.
Hi,
Does anyone have a photo of the official (or unofficial if you've made one yourself) support stand used when removing a front end loader - fitted to a 1390 in my case, not sure of the actual loader model number.
Thanks
Alchad

Loader - Replacement Rams
Hi, The hydraulic rams on my loader are starting to leak a fair bit, I had them resealed about 8 years ago but was warned they were not in the best of condition. So looking to replace them and also thinking of going double acting. Googling around there seems to be quite a few suppliers - Ramko, Flow...

Re: 1390 Starter Problem
Thanks everyone for the replies. Took the starter off - not easy with the loader on, have to remove alternator, steering pump reservoir and fuel lift pump first! Brushes on motor completely worn down and they're not the type an amateur can replace, but fortunately one of the local agricultural engin...

1390 Starter Problem
Hi, For the last few week the 1390 has been reluctant to start. When I turned the key the engine would half heartedly try to turn almost as though the battery was nearly dead. Then try again and it turned normally and fired up. Just gone out in it again and it started fine, then I stopped it to do s...

Stabiliser arms - different size threaded ends
Hi, Having a tidy up around the place and find I have two spare stabiliser arms for my 1390. On one, the ball ends on the threaded part was seized solid and on the other the telescopic part had been welded so that it didn't slide! Trying to make one good spare out of the two I discovered that the th...

Oil Pressure Switch - Thread Size
Hi, Had a slight scare this morning when the oil pressure warning light came on (1390) , hopefully it was just the wire connecting to the switch which hadvirtually frayed through. However thinking it might be the pressure switch, | started looking around for a replacement, and as Google often does, ...

Re: 1390 cutting out after a minute or so
Thanks guys, Just had another go. Actually removed a fuel filter to have a look - I know it's probably impossible to tell just by looking at them whether they are clogged or not, but didn't look too bad and made me feel I'd at least checked. Replaced filter and bled through again. Tried starting aga...

1390 cutting out after a minute or so
Hi all, Long time since I posted on here but got a problem on which I would welcome advice. Last two or 3 times I've started my 1390 over the past couple of weeks it's stopped after a minute or so. I usually manage to get it going after bleeding the fuel system. However a couple of days ago it stopp...

1390 Transmission dipstick query
Hi, Managed to lose the transmission dipstick for my 1390. Searched on Ebay and there's 2 available, but both are part number K956099 whereas my parts manual says it should be K203608. I suspect that there is a commonality among the rear transmissions and the same dipstick was used on quite a few mo...

RE: Which Loader?
All, Thanks for the answers. Also a slight apology - I had actually forgotten the history of the loader, I bought it at a farm sale and as sold it had some mounting brackets which I don't think were DB, and also the loader mounting point had been modified to use shorter rams - see photo. I eventuall...
