Sad News

It is with regret that I inform you of the death of Jim Taylor on 10th July he was 76.
Jim gave at least two talks at DBTC meetings, that were very informative from the works engineering side of things, and how some of the workforce went on to the end of Meltham holding their heads high.

Never say never, check first that my price is correct, I think these breakers were fitted to help prevent cab fires !
Think of all the extra things that make a 94 better than a 90 ?

RE: 1690 V

Yes, the 1690T and 1694 engines are superb luggers and of course was David Browns newest/latest engine development. I have 2 and would never want to be without them ! The engine would have had a great future but IH merger ? caused an early end to production 1979 - 1988, with only approx 1500 turbo t...

RE: 1690 rear wheel bearing

There will most likely be shims in the wheel bearing houseing. Remove the rear wheel then loosen or remove the ring of bolts 2 at a time by rotating the hub aligneing the holes to allow socket to un do bolts, in between the houseings will be 2 halves of shims totalling about 3 or 4 of different thic...

Charles Hull

It is with regret that I inform you of the death of Mr Charles Hull aged 93. He was probably the last of the main figures on design at DBT. He supported the club in its early years and gave at least two talks at Durker Roods, and of course contributed many articles to Tractor News. I hope a tribute ...

Phew so many questions and so many answeres. John I would be very supprised if a 15/1694 trailer braking system would not fit straight across onto your 1410 but the return pipe from the brake priority valve will not fit if off a tandem pump tractor. The trailer brake valve is Bosch and I beleive is ...
