RE: 1194 ignition switch wiring diagram

The switch is probably faulty. This fault is not uncommon.

The manuals published when DB was part of the Case organisation do seem to be fragmented. All the workshop manuals were only issued to DB dealerships, they were not for sale to the public. As db2d and Ollek state they were continually being amended. DB personnel would know the overlap and difference...

RE: Hydraulics

Under Main Menu on the right hand side of this page click on The Selectamatic Hydraulic System, this explains the system and the adjustments. This was compiled by two professional David Brown experts, Ollek and Alan Kellett.

Re: Pump

[quote="acs2703"] If the pump is totally worn out or has major damage to the body for example, a brand new one is available from Sparex and others and again can be fitted directly to the tractor with just timing marks to align. No calibration is required/possible. I am also interested in the availab...

Re: Pump

I think the whole site is exactly for enthusiastic amateurs. These old tractors would be under hedges otherwise! :-) I agree with the above statement, but there comes a time when advice given by a dwindling number of professionals should be heeded. Without them there would be many people with tract...

RE: Cav fuel pump help

If these plungers are built-up with weld the welded end should always be towards the lift pump to avoid damaging the camshaft.

I support the observations of Ollek and db2d and add that the Case manuals that these copies are often derived from are not always completely accurate. The most reliable information is from the manuals only issued to DB dealers and service personnel in conjunction with technical service bulletins.

RE: 25d and 30d the differences

The main difference between the two tractors is the cylinder size, 3.500" for the 25D and 3.625" for the 30D. There should be a number stamped on the right hand side of the engine block.

The charge indicator light does not need to be working to enable the dynamo to charge the battery, it only illuminates when the contact in the regulator is open.

RE: How to remove selectamatic from 1494?

Why do you need to remove the Selectarmatic control unit? Have you carried out any checks to establish what the fault is? Before removing and dismantling the unit it is best to obtain the tools and essential equipment that are required in the setting processes
