Re: Hydraulic relief valve

Hi, as I mentioned above I am going to check the pump etc first, if it checks out ok I will add some shims. I remember someone commenting on here some time ago about the relationship between shim thickness and psi increase, the bales which I bale myself are not wet sloppy crap that some do, they are...

Hydraulic relief valve

Hi, is there a certain shim thickness to pressure increase for the internal hydraulic pumps used on the smaller dbs? My 1294 is at 2000psi and struggles to lift a silage bale and feeder on the 3pl, so I am going to remove the pto housing to check the pump etc and add some shims but would like to do ...

Re: 1490 hydraulic issues

Hi, the oil you have is hybran not hytran if that makes any difference? Might pay to check the front drive couplings to the pump and make sure there are still some splines left

Re: Ways to increase road speed DB 950 Implematic?

Hi, go to cropmaster or 25/30 series final drives, you will lose the diff lock though. They are 10teeth to 37teeth, yours are probably 9/50. 990 models had 9/50, 10/49 or 11/49. Your tractor probably does about 22k/hr at 2400rpm with 9/50. Going to other ratios would change your speed to 9/50=22k 10...

Re: New 1694

Hi thanks, I picked up some free tyres for it and fitted them, 20.8 x 38 and 16.9 x 28 they fill the guards up nicely. I will tidy it up in time. Runs well so it's getting a bit of use with a tip trailer

Hi, I think from memory the older pto shafts are held in by two bolts and a lock tab? Maybe they have come loose. That one is on trade me for sale

Re: steeringpump David Brown

I have fitted a gear pump to my 4/47 990 beside the injector pump, took me awhile to find the gear as it is larger than the later models as you have said.
