Re: 1394 clutch fluid

Hi, you can get most of it out of the bleed nipple, use a lhm oil, mineral oil in the clutch and brake reservoir not brake fluid as it will destroy the seals

Re: Really silly question

Hi, 880 would be different but a 780 would.

Re: 4600 selectomatic

Hi, yes that's where it goes, there is a hole in the shaft that the grub screw taper locks into, try loctite and centre punch around the top to stop it coming out again.

Re: 4wd tractors

Hi, 880,990,1200,1210,1410,995,1290 to 1690 and 1294 to 1694. That's pretty much all of them, obviously some are quite rare. It think I have also seen a picture of a 885 4wd too.

Re: 990 selectamatic hold dump valve missing ball ???

Great idea with the bolt, looking at your photo you could also have a nut wound right up the thread before you split the bolt, then you could wind the nut down to increase the clamping force.

Re: Hydrashift

Hi, yes I have fitted some 20.8x 38 on the rear in place of the 16.9x 38 that was on it, also bigger fronts being 4wd. This has increased the speed to 34kmh which was better than 30! I was asking the question so if I had the hydrashift apart to do the seals etc it would be worth while swapping the r...

Re: Hydrashift

Hi, yes the hydrashift part is the same, the range box input shaft is the same and the reverse gear is the same just the layshaft, 1,2,3 gears are different, housings are the same aswell. The ratio of 3rd gear is 1: 1.375 on the 4cyl and 1:181 on the 6cyl. The 6cyl have more overlap in between the r...

Hydrashift

Hi has anyone ever fitted a hydrashift range box from a 13/1494 into a 15/1694? It looks possible, the reason I ask is the 3rd gear ratio is faster in the 13/14 models. It would speed up the 15/16 models

Hi Geoff, do you have a picture of the loose bit? I have had my 1694 pump apart at the governor end to replace the governor and camshaft, I have a few bits laying around.

Hi, both mine leak, the 13 around the turbo to cast bend and the 16 is between the 2 manifolds, that packing seems a good idea
