Re: 990 Selectamatic Linkage Geometry

The same correct top link will work with all implements that fulfills the internatrional standards for 3-point lifts. The haybob lower and top link connection points are too high up and does not fulfill internationakl standards. The connection points on the implement are so high up that half of the ...

Any universal top link will not work with a David Brown tractor, most of them are too long. Please contact David Brown Parts http://www.davidbrownparts.com/Hydraulic%20System.html

Re: 1694 ghost lift

It is also possible that someone has enlargened the small hole in the orfice plate inside the bypass valve. This can have been done if the hole has gone stuck with dirt several times and the operator thinks enlargening the hole will cure a problem with no lift. Cleaning the hole will cure the proble...

I have sent you the link to the complete parts catalogue. Please see if pages 8-248 and 8-250 shows what you need. These pages shows parts for the pressure side of the pump and the two earlier pages was for the pump inlet side. You have not told us if you are talking about pressure or suction pipe f...

Re: Allen key studs tandem pump

I can not understand what you are after. There is no studs with the pump and there is only one key at the rear pump drive shaft. This key is shaped like a half moon and is called woodruff key. Please see pages 8-242 and 8-246 in imag 084 in the following link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0...

Re: Valve guide seals

The inle valve seal was eliminated from the top of the inlet valve guide in 1212 engines (AD4/55) from engine serial numbers 15172 to 15216 and from 16470 and on. The main reason for oil in the exhaust is glazing of the cylinder walls due to lighht work and to "good" oil being used. Change to a clas...

Re: 990 Selectamatic Gearbox, how noisy is too noisy?!

Tractor Oil Universal stands for TOU, same oil in engine, transmission, hydraulics and hydraulic steering. If the tractor has disc brakes, the the recommendation is STOU in most cases (Super Tractor Oil Universal) This is my personel choice if the tractor has disc brakes. Multi Prpose Oil is also ca...

The lowering control will not work with empty lower links. Try to put at least 100 kg load on the linkage.

Re: Can an amateur fix a blown 885 head gasket/piston rings?

Can we have some more informations about what the problem is with the engine? The engine in a 885 is a direct bored AD3/55, and this engine has no liners that can leak.

Re: 990 Selectamatic Gearbox, how noisy is too noisy?!

Erkki started of saying that the gear boxes were not noisey when new and then he went on giving a full explanation on why the boxes get noisey when used and abused. I cant see anything wrong with that, as it tells you all needed about the subject.
