Re: Allen key studs tandem pump

I have sent you the link to the complete parts catalogue. Please see if pages 8-248 and 8-250 shows what you need. These pages shows parts for the pressure side of the pump and the two earlier pages was for the pump inlet side. You have not told us if you are talking about pressure or suction pipe f...

Re: Allen key studs tandem pump

I can not understand what you are after. There is no studs with the pump and there is only one key at the rear pump drive shaft. This key is shaped like a half moon and is called woodruff key. Please see pages 8-242 and 8-246 in imag 084 in the following link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0...

Re: Valve guide seals

The inle valve seal was eliminated from the top of the inlet valve guide in 1212 engines (AD4/55) from engine serial numbers 15172 to 15216 and from 16470 and on. The main reason for oil in the exhaust is glazing of the cylinder walls due to lighht work and to "good" oil being used. Change to a clas...

Re: Replacing steering pump belt on 885

There are two bolts that hold the pump mounting bracet to the tractor main frame. Loosen these bolts and move the bracket togethert with the pump downwards. Please see section S and page E20 in the following link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9-7bn5CX9NDZ3pQdDh6M2k0bVk Some front loader br...

Re: 990 Selectamatic Gearbox, how noisy is too noisy?!

Tractor Oil Universal stands for TOU, same oil in engine, transmission, hydraulics and hydraulic steering. If the tractor has disc brakes, the the recommendation is STOU in most cases (Super Tractor Oil Universal) This is my personel choice if the tractor has disc brakes. Multi Prpose Oil is also ca...

The lowering control will not work with empty lower links. Try to put at least 100 kg load on the linkage.

Re: Can an amateur fix a blown 885 head gasket/piston rings?

Can we have some more informations about what the problem is with the engine? The engine in a 885 is a direct bored AD3/55, and this engine has no liners that can leak.

Re: 990 Selectamatic Gearbox, how noisy is too noisy?!

Erkki started of saying that the gear boxes were not noisey when new and then he went on giving a full explanation on why the boxes get noisey when used and abused. I cant see anything wrong with that, as it tells you all needed about the subject.

Re: 990 Selectamatic Gearbox, how noisy is too noisy?!

The gear box / pto lube system will work correctly if you ensure that any return oil from a external constant pumping connection is connected to the correct plug. That is the plug on top of the rear axle on the left hand side or the front / lower down plug on the camels hump on the right hand side.

Re: 1390 Mechanic?

Your tractor is a David Brown, not an "other make. Control the lowering speed with the setting of the lowering speed knob and not by the speed you move the main control lever.

cobbadog, do not overturn correct informations or try to be clever. Erkki IS INDEED talking about noice in used and abused tractors and you can find this out if you carefully read everything written by Erkki.
