It seems they either they had stocks of selene axles left over from the 990/1200 production or a new batch was sourced. There are a number of bottle opener 1210 4wds dotted throughout literature of the period with Selene axles.

Portland cab info

I an currently restoring a Portland cab for a 1953 Cropmaster. Unfortunately after the cab had broken it's mounts the cab was held onto the tractor with wire! I am looking for any information/photographs for this cab. A parts book/fitting instructions would ideal. But anything would be greatly appre...

RE: Is this the best bonnet youve ever seen on a David Brown

Beaware of this tractor, a friend of my fathers won this on ebay but when he went to pick it up it became apparent that the seller didnt own it! Looking at his feedback i dont know how hes managed to keep his 100% with two negatives.

Good model makers but artistic flair missing - the grille is completely wrong and would have been so easy to make correctly, also the scuttle is entirely the wrong shape. Wait until you see - UH will bring out a perfect 1:16 cropmaster diesel for a £40!! It won't be as unique or as valuable as a g...

Hi there Square fronts came in during mid 1950, so if she is 1946 theres been plenty of replacement parts! Your best bet is to see if its got a cropmaster or vak1 rear axle. If its got a vak1 rear axle there should be a date cast into the backside of it (right about where the right hand ramshaft cas...

RE: Cropmaster 47

Hi Sven

P11745 was built around the 15th of December 1947. She looks to be in very good condition, has the tractor got push on fuel caps?

Would love to see some more pictures

RE: Cropmaster Calorimeter

I had one apart and it never went back together, the part which moves when hot is sealed and a right mess to fix. The thread is bsp, I've got a tap in the workshop so will get back to you on that one. The same unit with different glass and back panel graphics were fitted to fordson e27n's and austin...

RE: David Brown 990 Selectamatic 4x4 Information

Hi alex You'll find that all the selene axles have green paint on them too which is a good indication of wether the tractor has been restored or not. I've got an unofficial register going for 990 4wds so if you know of one or own one i'd like to add it to the list if thats ok. Heres ours in an actio...

Hi glen

Our copmasters have no trouble running on the ab-2 plug and as joe90 has said they are a very reasonable price. Fan belts too wont break the bank but just make sure you specify that you don't have a belt driven dynamo and you should be well away.

Cant wait to see the pictures

Cheers

I've only seen one or two red framed sta-dri cabs. One of which was on a press photo which had a 1200 with a loader on. It would be quite good if there could be a little corner/shrine on the site to these cabs. Or maybe a thread with photographs of them today and archive pictures to help restoring t...

RE: Track rod end thread

hi everyone, yup its "30". I've looked through the printed parts manuals I have and had a look on the CNH site but all I could find was the "special" description. I was hoping that they listed the locking nut as a standard nut but i imagine they'd rather sell you one at an inflated price than for yo...

RE: victor cab

We've got a victor cab on our 990 and from doing a bit of research it seems that the majority of 990 4wd's had this type of cab on it. So there will be no taking this one off! The previous owner took the original doors off when he got the tractor and threw them in a skip but was luck enough to get a...
