hi i have just bought a david brown 885 and the back end has been run dry, so now the hydrolics will not work at all i have put new oil and fillter on it that hasnt solved any think. Do you think that it is air locked or pump has seized?

hi
I have got a freind that has got 1290 we are replacing the big end shells. I was wondering what the tourque setting was for shells when fitted

All back together and the pump pressure is up to spec ,only cost £4.25 +vat for the sparex kit.

We have removed the h/pump and split it to find that the internal seals are shot .In one place the seal is actually misssing/broken .The pump casing is not damaged so we are just going to replace all the seals in the pump .

I have been trying to run a log splitter on my 990 but it seems to be very slowly and lack power. We also struggled with a transport box gettting it to lift and hold when full unless i had it at full revs. I have put a pressure gauge on the the hydrulics and it shows 80 bar at full revs i believe th...

Hi ridgerunner, Its not necessary to loosen any nut. On the other hand, its better not to loosen them because the in order not to mix its adjustment. Its very sensitive. Try long pliers or simply knock around by hammer and a chisel. RGDS We have a similar problem on our 990 when we pulled the chest...

Hi it is very simple to put the decals on and all you need is spray bottle with water in and make sure you do it in the shade out of the sun.Masking tape the decals in place along the top edge lift it up and spray plenty of water on ,then lift the backing paper and drop decals on to the bonnet.Press...

We have been looking for months for s/hand tyres the same size but we have gone for new in the end ,as most of the s/hand were over priced or shot at.We have ordered them from British Rubber £390+vat for a pair of tyres & tubes now busy cleaning and painting the inside of the rims :D happy days!!!

Hi i am having same problem with my 990 h/brake but the "pawl" seems to be stuck in the housing .When I try to flick it out it just goes further in ,I have even tapped the housing(gently) to try and shock it out .

Prevention may not be as pleasant as your cure but in the winter i always wear a hat and have not had a cold for many a year .A double Bell's in hot milk and honey is my cure and it's not pub measures eithter. :D
