THE FERGUSON BROWN TYPE A (1936-1939)

The Ferguson Brown was the first production tractor with hydraulic lift and converging three-point linkage.

It has a 4-cylinder water cooled petrol (gasoline) or petrol/TVO (gasoline/kerosene) engine. The first 500 tractors built had a Coventry Climax type E engine. The reminder of the 1350 machines built had a David Brown engine of 2010cc capacity, developing 20 bhp at 1400 rev/min. There were 3 forward and 1 reverse gears and independent wheel brakes.
