770 SELECTAMATIC (1965 - 1970)

Powered by a 3-cylinder 35 bhp diesel engine, the red 770 was the first tractor to have the outstandingly simple Selectamatic hydraulic system. This proved so successful that it was introduced on all tractors in the David Brown range in October 1965, when the 770 which had a patented 2-lever 12 speed gearbox as standard equipment, was re-styled and painted in the new orchid white and chocolate livery and up-graded to 36 bhp.
