1594 (1984 - 1988)

This model was introduced in 1984. It was the successor to the non-turbo 1690 at just under 100 hp. It could be specified with either a manual gearbox or the Hydra-Shift option and could be either 2 or 4 wheel drive. It featured the Sekura cab which many felt was the best cab yet to appear on a DB tractor. A further option was a dual hydraulic pump that enabled certain services to have a doubled-up oil supply. P.T.O. could be changed from 540 to 1000 by reversing the shaft. These tractors can either be the "Magpie" colour scheme (white tinwork, black chassis & red wheels) or later red tinwork, black chassis and black/silver wheels. The last models produced were badged as Commemorative Edition tractors to celebrate over 50 years of excellence.

It is not known how many "Comms" there were but buyers should be aware that some tractors have been fitted with new commemorative decals during refurbishment in an attempt to show that a tractor is newer than it actually is. The DB six cylinder tractors were easily capable of handling heavy mounted implements. Heavy 4 furrow ploughs including the Dowdeswell DP7 were well within it's capabilities, as were 3 meter combi-drills.
